On December 27, 2022 Thelma Rose Ivey passed into the loving arms of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mildred (Egginson) Silkowski, her sister Elaine Macenko, her daughter’s father Billy Ivey and great granddaughter Aurora Meyers. Thelma leaves behind her sister, Sr. Lillian Silkowski, her daughters Glenna G Howe (Nancy Howe), Bonnie J Meyers (Jim Meyers), Janet R. Rose (Douglas Rose) and her adopted son James A. Douglas. As well as her dear friend Pattie DePaul, along with 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Thelma was born in 1932 in New Jersey, then lived in Texas, Arizona, Hawaii, Ohio and California. She loved sewing, reading, her Red Hat Ladies, wearing her jewelry and of course her family. She enjoyed spending time at the Rohnert Park Senior center and playing cards with her friends at the Altamont Apartments. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the professionals at Home Instead and Anchor Hospice of Sonoma County Nursing staff. You lovingly cared for our mother and made her journey home to heaven a sweet one, as well as making this difficult time bearable for our family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Anchor Health Foundation of Sonoma County CA.
