Thomas Richard Kelly

Thomas Richard Kelly of Petaluma, CA passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022, at the age of 74. After several months of declining health, Tom died peacefully with his beloved wife Alanna and their children by his side. The world has lost a great husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Tom was born in San Francisco, CA in 1948 to John and Ruth Kelly. He graduated from Riordan High School in 1966 and then enlisted in the United States Army bravely serving two tours in Vietnam.

Following his military service, he opened Kelly Refrigeration where he worked diligently for the next 25 years. His career then took him to St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco where he retired after 15 years. Tom was happiest while spending time with his grandchildren who were his greatest pride and joy.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Alanna Kelly and their children Kevin Kelly, Sharon Turner (Robert), and Timothy Kelly (Tiffany). Tom is also survived by his brother Michael Kelly and grandchildren Colin, Liam, Brigit, Aislinn, Thomas, Grace, Addison, Maxwell, Megyn and Violet and his niece Kathleen. Tom is predeceased by his parents John and Ruth Kelly and his brother Daniel Kelly.

Local services will be held at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary and Crematory located at 850 Keokuk St. in Petaluma, CA on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 2PM. Tom will be interred at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery located in Dixon, Ca at a later date.
