Timothy "Tim" Leroy Brattin

Loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, Husband, Friend, and Co-worker tragically and unexpectedly passed away on April 9, 2018.

Tim was born in Petaluma, CA on December 14, 1967 to James ‘Jim’ Brattin & Delores Mae Derby.

Tim grew up Petaluma where he attended McKinley Elementary, moved to Santa Rosa where he attended Herbert Slater Junior High, and then moved to Rohnert Park where he attended Rancho Cotate High School.

Tim met Tamera Lynne Bonetti in 1981 and they married on December 12, 1987.  Tim and Tamera had three sons together Timothy Justin (29), Troy Tyler (27), and the late Tyler Wayne (17 at time of death). Tim also had a son Jacobi ‘Cobe’ (18) who resides in Idaho. Tim and Tamera moved to Idaho in 1994, later divorced in 2004.

Tim was an expert and accomplished custom woodworker for the past 33 years from California to Idaho and back again to California.

Tim loved the Dallas Cowboys (same as his Dad) and Golden State Warriors and never passed up a chance to go the Petaluma Speedway, Sprint Car, Nascar, and NHRA races.

Tim’s preceded in death by including losing his Mom in 1978 when he was 10 years old. Brother-in-law Peter Georges in 1995. Mother-in-law Martha ‘Marty’ Bonetti-Loyd in 1999, his Dad in 2002, and his youngest son Tyler in 2014.

Tim heartbroken returned to Petaluma in 2015 after the death of his son at which time he and Tamera became very close friends and companions and the proud grandparents to precious Hope Willow Brattin.

Tim is survived by brothers’ James Brattin, Randy Brattin (wife Phoebe), Vince Hickey, and Robert Hawthorne (wife Tilda). Sisters’ Cindy Moro (husband Rick), Marylee Georges, Susan Jones, and Sandy Henson (husband Scot). Sister-in-law Tabatha Bonetti-Asker (husband Doug). Brother-in-law Donald Bonetti-Yeaman (wife Sunila). Son’s Timothy Brattin (Dulce), Troy Brattin, and Cobe Coffman. Ex-wife and best friend Tamera Bonetti-Brattin. Not to mention, countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

We will continue to hold onto the promise that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is Coming Back Soon, and we will be reunited with Tim, Tyler, and the countless others we have lost and so dearly miss.

Celebration of Life to be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11am at the Petaluma Seventh-day Adventist Church.
