Passed away at his Petaluma residence on September 25, 2013 at the age of 85. Husband of the late Odessa Turner. Loving father of Linda Wheeler of Newark, Thelma Turner La Caze of Elk Grove, Robert Turner of Stockton, Sheryl (Percy) White of Vallejo, Stanley Turner of Petaluma, Steven (Kimberly) Turner of Santa Rosa, Michael (Annette) Turner of Santa Rosa, David Turner, Sr. of Santa Rosa, Jeffrey Turner of Petaluma, and Angela Turner of Petaluma. Doting grandfather of 14, great-grandfather of 26 and great-great grandfather of 2. Dear brother of James Turner of Madera, and TC Turner of Richmond. Son- in-law of Clara P. Thomas of Sacramento and brother-in-law of Eulah Tate of San Jose, Betty McCormick of Elk Grove, and Larry (Jennifer) Thomas of Sacramento. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. TJ was born in Chowchilla to Rosie and Sharper Turner. He started hauling hay at a young age. He and Odessa moved the family to Sonoma County in 1967. A resident of Petaluma since 1967 TJ owned and operated Tuner Trucking. He transported hay for Stornetta Dairy and Hunt & Behrens for over 30 years. A Visitation will begin at 11:00 on Thursday, October 3, 2013 with the Funeral Service starting at 1:00 p.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Burial will be on Friday, October 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera, CA.
