Toni Anne (Provo) Sabella

Toni Anne (Provo) Sabella 75, of Petaluma, California passed away peacefully with family by her side, September 26, 2024. Toni was born and raised in Saratoga Springs, NY

Toni’s professional journey began at Bell Telephone in Saratoga Springs, she moved to Schenectady, NY, where she opened a florist shop, balancing her time waitressing and bartending. Her adventurist spirit led her to California, where she met her husband Luciano at the renowned Sabella’s Seafood Restaurant in San Francisco. Toni’s hardworking ethic and talents were evident as she and Luciano transformed several properties: turning their home into a welcoming gathering place for family.

Toni was predeceased by her beloved husband Luciano Sabella; father, Tony Provo; mother, Elizabeth McDonough; stepmother Beatrice Provo and other cherished family members, including grandfather, Rocco Provo; grandmother, Angeline Provo, sister, Tina (Provo) Allen, stepbrother, Donald Rovito; and grandnephew Raymond Anthony Robinson.

She is survived by her brother Ray (Kim) Faiola, Wayne Faiola, stepchildren, Lisa (Mario) Stauffacher; Mark Sabella; Michelle (Helio) Rasteiro; Dominica (David) Rossman and stepsister, Barbara (Wayne) Robinson.

She cherished her role as a proud grandmother to Jordan (Kateri) and Margo Rasteiro, Skye and Ely Rossman, and great-grandmother to Lenora Rasteiro. She was also a beloved Aunt to many, including Anthony (Nena), Jeff, Vita, and Kara (Tyler), Donna, Angel, and Scott, Heather, Jessie, and Danny (Jessica). She was also very fond of her many great nieces and nephews, including Dominic (Sarah), Nick (Mikayla), Parker, Ella, Sophia, and Paige. .

Toni will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love of family, and her enduring kindness. Toni will be laid to rest with her husband Luciano in a private service at Holy Cross Italian Cemetery in Colma, CA on October 25th.

A celebration of life will be held at the Principessa Elena Italian American Club, Oak St., Saratoga Springs. NY on October 26th beginning with a memorial service at 2PM.
