TROY RAWSON passed away on October 5, 2014 in Petaluma. Devoted husband of Billie Joyce Rawson. Beloved father of Troy Leon Rawson (Terre) of Lindsborg, KS; David Rawson (Debbie); Thomas Ray Rawson (Roberta) of Whitehall, MT; Philip Rawson of Redding; Larry Rawson (Hui); Debbie Adams (David); Cathy Casazza (Joel); Steve Rawson (Barbara) of Kaufman, TX; and the late Joyce Elaine Wise of Albuquerque, NM. Adored grandfather of 27, great-grandfather of 39, and great-great-grandfather of five. Loving brother of the late Mae Lynn Gannon of TX. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Age: 86 years. A member of: Carpenter's Union of San Rafael. Troy was born, reared and educated in Blooming Grove, TX. He and Billie Joyce married on May 24, 1946 in Texas and together they enjoyed over 68 years of marriage. Post World War II, he enlisted in the US Army and proudly served his country while stationed at the Two Rock Army Base. After his discharge from the army, Troy went to work as a carpenter and later a general contractor in Petaluma, finally retiring in 1983. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and especially loved training horses. He also enjoyed his missionary work with the Native Americans in CA and participated in many house building projects on the reservations. He was a wonderful man; he will be greatly missed. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Service, Wednesday, October 8, 2014 (today) at 2:00 pm at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Interment: Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 12:30 pm at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery, 11800 Gas Point Rd., Igo, CA. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
