BAHNSEN, Twyla Bahnsen, passed away on June 27, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones in Penngrove, CA at the age of 89.

Devoted wife of 58 years to Henry “Hank”Bahnsen of Penngrove. Cherished mother to Cheri Massey of Petaluma, and stepmother of Denise and Duwayne Bahnsen. Beloved grandmother of Ray McGee (Sarah McGee), Julianna Massey, Candice Massey (Llorence), (Mike Llorence) Greta, and Gemma Bahnsen. Adored great-grandmother of Harley, and Hayden McGee, Ethan, Madison, and Emma Perry; Bella Massey; Taylor Kokubun; Shyanne Nowlin, Mila Llorence and of course named after her great grandmother Twyla Llorence. She lives on through her Great-Great Grandchildren Hazel and Rhyanna. Loving sister to the late Buckley Rowley, and beloved Aunt to Mike, Cliff and Jeff Rowley of Petaluma.

Twyla was born in San Francisco, reared and educated in Petaluma, graduating from Petaluma High School in 1953. She and Henry started a business and in 1971 opened Hank's TV Repair in Rohnert Park, which they operated until their retirement in 1999. For more than 20 years, Twyla and Hank were members of the Bay Area Camping Group and enjoyed vacationing with their grandchildren and just spending as much time with each other as they could on the road. Twyla enjoyed going to luncheons with her girlfriends some of her friends she met through her camper group, some were from high school, and some were just from all the years of being a good friend herself. She will be missed by everyone and anyone’s life she touched. Above all, Twyla enjoyed life to the fullest and will be missed dearly by her family. The family wishes to thank Anchor Hospice for its wonderful care of Twyla.

At her request, private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anchor Hospice or the Penngrove Social Firemen.
