Valodi Peterson

Valodi Peterson - In loving memory of Valodi Peterson who passed away Sept. 18, 2007. A Petaluma native, Val was born in 1913. His parents had recently immigrated from Russia where they had taken refuge after leaving their homeland of Armenia. He is survived by Virginia Peterson, wife of 51 years; Son, Joe Peterson; Grandsons, Kyle and Trevor; and beloved dog Brownie. He was preceded in death by his brothers Alex, George and Peter; his sisters Maybelle and Eunice; and his parents, Anna and Nersus (Henry). At Valodiâ??s request, no services were held. Those who wish may donate to either the Santa Rosa Sutter VNA & Hospice or the Canine Creative Wellness program at Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa in memory of Valodi Peterson. Val attended Petaluma schools and was musically inclined. In the late 1930â??s and early 1940â??s, he played piano with the Stan Goldman Band and the Mike Weatherby and his River Garden Band. They played at many venues throughout Sonoma County.
