Valora Vail, a lifelong resident of Petaluma, passed away at her home on March 1, 2015. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Anyone she ever met discovered how special she was. She loved her family and made a loving home for them. She well be greatly missed.
Valora graduated from Petaluma High School in 1942. She worked at Kresky Manufacturing during World War II, where she met Jim Vail. When he went into the service they corresponded and when he returned in 1945, they married. They had three children, Sharon, Albert and Rob Vail. Valora was a homemaker until 1962 when she went to work at Delmar Pacific. She worked there for several years until she left to care for her mother in 1978.
Valora loved her garden. She would spend hours culling seeds from spent flowers. She took great joy in watching the young seedlings that she planted grow into beautiful flowers and tasty vegetables. She was very knowledgeable about everything concerning her garden.
Valora was preceded in death by her husband Jim, parents Emma and Pacific Bolla, brother, Lloyd Bolla, and sister, Lorraine Grove. She is survived by her children and numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
At her request no services will be held. Family and friends are welcome to visit her family home and share memories at their convenience. We are starting a memorial garden; please feel free to contribute a plant or seeds in her memory
