Vern H. Tyrrell

VERN H. TYRRELL passed away on July 7, 2016 in Santa Rosa at the age of 89 years. Devoted husband of Caterina Tyrrell of Cotati. Cherished father of Patricia Tyrrell of Napa, Jennifer Aggeler of Kneeland, Cindy Tyrrell of Cotati, and the late Carol Tyrrell. Beloved grandfather of Daniel Tyrrell, Elizabeth Hawkins, Timothy Gaskell, Rick Aggeler, and Carolann Aggeler. Adored great-grandfather of Giana Tyrrell, and Gavin and Ander Hawkins. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Vern was born, reared and educated in Petaluma and attended Petaluma High School. During WWII, he proudly served in the USAAF as an MP in Okinawa. He worked as a warehouseman for forty years, primarily at Hunt and Behren's Feed. Vern was a family man who had a wonderful sense of humor. He kept his good spirits up to the end. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 8:30 am to 11:00 am at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. A Graveside Service will follow at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, 430 Magnolia Ave., Petaluma. Visitation
