Vernon Silvio Debernardi

Passed away at home in Petaluma, September 5,2022 at the age of 86. He was the husband of the late Kathleen D. DeBernardi. Loving father of Dino DeBernardi (Carolyn) and Dario DeBernardi (Gina). Cherished grandfather of Katie, Devin, Daniel and Drew DeBernardi. Son of the late Marino and Irene DeBernardi. Beloved brother of Don DeBernardi (Bonnie) and the late George DeBernardi and Stanley DeBernardi Brother in law of Pat DeBernardi, Maureen and Lauren Bettinelli, Mary Gayle Starke and the late Fred Starke.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Vernon, member of a pioneer Petaluma area family, he graduated from Petaluma High School and later served in the U.S. Army. After his military service he spent the next 37 years as a truck driver and later warehouse manager for the House of Daniels. He enjoyed his memberships in the Swiss Club, NSGW and the Elks Lodge. Vernon was known by his many friends for love of playing Pedro, and his visits to Kings Beach/Lake Tahoe and the Peppermill where he loved to travel.

Visitation will be held, Thursday, September 15,2022 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, Petaluma.  Family and friends are also invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Friday, September 16,2022 at 10:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma. Entombment, Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma.  The family prefers memorials be made to Continuum Hospice.
