Victor Byron Bishop

April 24, 1947 — February 6, 2013

Passed away at his Petaluma residence on February 6, 2013. Devoted husband of Carol Bishop of Petaluma. Loving father of Brandent Bishop of Red Bluff and Byron Bishop of Glendale, AZ. Cherished son of Eulene and Byron Bishop of Ukiah. Caring grandfather of Lillian Bishop of Petaluma, Madelyne and Alyssa Bishop both of AZ. Dear brother of Bonnie Austin (Ed) of Lakeport and Brent Bishop of Ukiah. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Vic served honorably in the Army and was a Vietnam veteran. When he moved to Sonoma County from Mendocino County, he first worked for the Petaluma School District. He then worked for the US Postal Service for over 20 years at the North Bay Processing and Distribution Center. Vic's garage and tools were his heaven. He loved his dogs and enjoyed life by throwing parties, playing cards, gambling and vacationing with family and friends. He was a devoted 49ers football and Giants baseball fan. He enjoyed his candy and sweets; baking, making, buying or eating. He will be missed dearly by all. As per his wishes there will not be a service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952.
