Victoria Marie Maffia

Our beloved Victoria Marie Maffia passed away October 1st, 2014 at the age of 93. Vickie was born August 22,1921 to Carlo and Valentina Del Nero of Italy. Vickie was born in Patterson, California. Her family moved to Sonoma County when she was young. She married John J. Maffia and had three children. Her first son, John Maffia, Jr., preceded her in death. She is survived by son Robert Maffia (Janet) and daughter Doreen Dail (David), three grandchildren Barbara Sanchez, Janine Dail and Joseph Dail, as well as three great grandchildren Justin Maffia, Maggie Brown, and Aubree Dail, her last remaining living sibling, Helena Poma, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Vickie's infectious humorous nature and charismatic attitude touched many people through out her life. She loved her cat Tom Tom, Wheel-O-Fortune, Jeopardy and a good round of Bingo, but most of all she loved her family. Friends and neighbors recall she could be caught out front sweeping the driveway or taking the trash out. She was always working hard keeping her yard neat and her home clean, warm, and welcoming for anyone who stopped by to visit. Vickie was surrounded by her family and friends in life and in her passing. A huge THANK YOU for the care Victoria and our family received from the Cloverdale Health Care Center. Vickie will be laid to rest at Sebastopol Memorial Lawn (no graveside service). A remembrance gathering in lieu of service will take place at 11:30am on October 10, 2014 at Round Table Pizza Parlor, 2065 Occidental Road, Santa Rosa, California.
