Victoria lost her courageous battle with colon cancer on December 6, 2016. Vicki as everyone called her, was born in San Francisco, CA, On June 7, 1967 to Benjamin and Nellie Garcia. Vicki had one brother; Gilbert Garcia.
While they were little her dad moved them to Petaluma, CA, where they attended school. Vicki graduated from Casa Grande High School in 1985. While attending Casa Grande High School she met the love her life, Darrin Spann and in March of 1984, at that time, she was 16 and he was 17 years old.
After that they moved to Santa Rosa and settled down to raise their children. They have two beautiful children who were her pride and joy. Vicki had her first child Danielle when she was 19 and then Nico came 4 years later. While raising both of their children Vicki went to the Santa Rosa Junior College and received her AA and then went on to Sonoma State to get her BA in Accounting. Vicki worked for a few different companies before she started working at Martinelli Winery.
While she loved working there, her Husband asked her to come work for his construction company where they worked together every day for the past 15 years. She was an incredibly hard working women who never gave up on anything she did. Vicki loved the outdoors and was an avid San Francisco Giants fan. Exercising was something she was passionate about since she was a little girl. Running marathons, biking and working out in the gym. If it was exercise, she loved it.
Vicki is survived by her Husband and best friend Darrin of 33 years, children Danielle and Nico Spann of Santa Rosa, Brother and sister in law Gilbert and Martha Garcia of Fort Collins, Colorado, and numerous brother and sister in laws who loved her like a sister. A private "Celebration of Life" is being held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers Memorial Contributions be made to "Paws for Love" were she enjoyed volunteering her time. Please contact the family for more information.
