Vincent Dell'Osso - Passed away peacefully on June 22, 2011 in his Petaluma residence surrounded by his family. He had been battling cancer for the past year. Devoted husband for 60 years to Rose Dellâ??Osso. Loving father of Paula Kavanaugh and her husband Mike, Vince Dellâ??Osso and his wife Cheryl, and John Dellâ??Osso and his wife Jacqueline. Cherished grandfather of John, Matt and Jaclyn Kavanaugh, Anthony, Joe, Nicholas, Gabe, and Rachel Dellâ??Osso. Friends and family are invited to a Visitation on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 5:00 p.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma. Private Entombment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Heartland Hospice of Santa Rosa, 2455 Bennett Valley Road, Suite B214, Santa Rosa, CA 95404 or a favorite charity. He was born in Lucca, Italy in 1925 and came to California in 1949 where he was a chef and restaurateur. His love of cooking and serving people was evident as he was in the restaurant business for over 40 years in San Francisco, San Mateo and Penngrove. The Dellâ??Osso family owned and operated the Green Mill Inn since 1972 after they moved from San Francisco to Petaluma.
