Viola was born the middle child of 7 children to Kate and Nick Meysembourg in Almena, Wisconsin. Her parents and sisters moved to California during WW2. In 1946 she married Ray Ranallo of Cumberland, Wisconsin. They moved to Marin County California and started their family. Viola dedicated her life to her family, being an at home mom, she was an avid baker always thrilling everyone with home made candies and cookies and yummy treats, during the holidays. She was happiest when working in her garden. She was active in her Church as a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She is preceded in death her husband of 56 years and her beloved son Terry Ranallo, her sisters and brothers. She is survived by her daughter Laurie (Ranallo) Landry, her grandchildren; Marc Landry, Heather Landry, Christa Poppe, Vanessa Ranallo, and Jenna Soars, and her great-grandchildren, John, Cody, Terry, Jessie Landry, and Greyson and Ryan Soars. It was her request that family honor her in whatever feels best for them. There will be no formal service or memorial.
