Virginia Ann Breedlove

Passed away in Petaluma, CA, May 6, 2022 at the age of 88.  She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Breedlove and sister of the late Arthur Breedlove Jr.  Dear cousin of Barbara Purcell of Sacramento, Tim Talamantes (Janet) of Petaluma, the late Phil Talamantes Jr. (Faye).  Also survived by her cousins’ children.

A native of Oakland, CA, she traveled extensively as a child of a Navy officer.  She graduated with a master's degree in education and taught overseas on military bases for many years before returning to Sonoma County where she continued her teaching career at Piner Elementary in Santa Rosa.  She was a life-long teacher and learner.  She continued to enjoy world-wide travel throughout her life, traveling to all seven continents.  She was a member of the United Church of Christ Petaluma, New Horizons Band, Petaluma Museum Association and the California Retired Teachers Association.

Family and friends are invited to the 10am memorial service Saturday, June 25 at the United Church of Christ, 825 Middlefield Dr., Petaluma, CA.  The family suggests memorials to the Petaluma Historical Library and Museum or a favorite charity.
