Virginia Emma Malnati

January 15, 1927 — November 3, 2016

On Nov. 3, 2016 our beautiful Mom, Nonnie, and Great Nonnie, Virginia Emma Cincera Malnati joined her husband Charlie and son, Ken. Virginia and Charlie were married for 67 years. Virginia was born to Attilio Cincera and Rose Poncia Cincera on Jan. 15, 1927. Virginia is the loving Mom to Kenny Malnati (deceased); Patricia and Joe Pedrani; Ron and Lupe Malnati. Nonnie to Jamie, Marcello and Lisa, Jolene, Vince and Chyrstyn, Kenneth and Molly, Anthony and Michele. Great Nonnie to Trystan, Brooklyn, Jacob, Charlie and Sawyer. Loving sister to Annie and Peter (deceased) Allena; Donna and Silvio (deceased) Cincera; Robert and Mable (deceased) Nelson. Sister-in-law to Martha and Al (deceased) Caletti; Alan and Anna (deceased) Cummings, Gene Panizzera, Linda and Frank Tamba, Carlo and Betty Panizzera. Mom lived her entire life in Petaluma, 75 years on the same property. Mom was the seamstress for the family. she could be seen patching blown out Levis, sewing buttons, and making costumes. During evening hours you could find her crocheting blankets. Many family members and friends are recipients of her handy work. Mom retired from the Petaluma School District. Every year during the Sonoma Marin Fair, Mom volunteered helping judge bake goods and preserves. Mom's greatest accomplishment in life was being a wife, mom, mother-in-law, and Nonnie. She was always there for each and every one of us, she was our rock. Mom will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, her large Italian Family and her many friends. Visitation will be Monday, November 7, 2016 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, with the Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Family and friends are also invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma. Private interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Virginia's memory to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952 or to a charity of your choice.
