Virginia M. Mendonca - Virginia Mendonca passed away peacefully at her Sebastopol residence , which was built in 1945, on July 4, 2009. Devoted wife of the late John Martin Mendonca. Dear sister-in-law of Isabelle Christensen of Santa Rosa and June Mendonca of Sebastopol, CA. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews; grand and great grand. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary- Seb., 301 S. Main St., Sebastopol, CA. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, P.O. Box 1296, Santa Rosa, CA 95402 or American Cancer Society, 1451 Guerneville Rd., Suite 220, Santa Rosa, CA 95403 in her memory. Virginia was born in Vienna, IL and moved to California in 1931 and graduated from Analy High School in 1932. Virginia went to work for the Sebastopol Creamery after graduation and was also employed by Carlson's Department Store for over 30 years. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary.
