Virginia M. Roventini

Virginia M. Roventini - Virginia Roventini passed away peacefully August 27, 2010 at the age of 94. She was born in Santa Rosa, CA in 1916 to Luigi and Irene Bertoni. She attended Lincoln School through the eighth grade after which time she worked for Franco-America Bakery and Thompsonâ??s Photography Studio. Later she worked at Green Valley Apple Dryer as a supervisor. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, William, her son Bill, her sisters Mary Delucchi and Rose Vaccaro and her brother Angelo Bertoni. She is survived by her sisters, Marie Bastoni and June Bache. Granddaughters Janelle (Marc) Hunter, Jennifer (Bryan) Jensen. Great-grandchildren, Trevor, Carly, Kennedy, Jackson, Charlotte, Caden, William and Sophie and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, September 3, 2010, 11:00 am at PARENT SORENSEN MORTUARY, 301 S. MAIN STREET, SEBASTOPOL. A remarkable woman, a remarkable life. We love you Noni. In 1970 Virginia and her son, Bill established Roventiniâ??s Paisano Market which operated until 1988. She held fort with a heavy hand and a soft heart. This is where many of Virginiaâ??s customers became her extended family.
