Virginia C. Wells - Virginia passed away peacefully in Petaluma on October 9, 2007. Loving wife of the late Jack Wells. Devoted mother of Susan Carson and her husband Charles of Petaluma; Jim Wells and his wife Dottie of Ross, CA; Nancy Kniesche and her husband Skip of Kentfield, CA; Rob Wells and his wife Deborah of Crownsville, MD; and Cathy Zmuda of Gold River, CA. Dedicated grandmother of 10. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, 707-763-4131. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Redwood Empire Council, 2240 Professional Drive, Santa Rosa, CA 95403 Virgina was a native Californian, daughter of Carolyn and Earl Cavin and born in Rodeo. She lived her childhood in Crockett. She attended art school and worked in San Francisco in the 1940s, married Jack Wells on Dec. 4, 1948, and lived in Oakland, Hayward, Orinda and Moraga. She moved to Springfield Place in Petaluma in 2000.
