Vivian H. Straub-Marty

VIVIAN H. STRAUB-MARTY passed away on August 26, 2013 in Petaluma. Devoted wife of the late Charles J. Marty and Alfred Straub. Cherished mother of Marlene Stewart and husband Jerry of Petaluma. Adored grandmother of Tina Huber (Eric) of AZ and Cynthia McKenzie (Robert) of Petaluma. Beloved great-grandmother of Scott and Austin McKenzie of Petaluma. Loving sister of Alice Lanzi and the late Antone Beffa, Jr. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Age: 92 years. Vivian was born and reared in Petaluma to Lillian and Antone Beffa. She grew up on the family dairy: Beffa Dairy Ranch. She was married to Alfred Straub until his passing in 1948. At that time, Vivian moved back to the family ranch where she lived until her marriage to Charles Marty in 1997. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, was well known for her delicious baked goods, and loved to play bingo. Above all else, Vivian loved her family. She was everybody's "Gram," and loved babysitting and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vivian was a wonderful woman; she will be greatly missed. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Friday, August 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA 94952. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY with a Vigil Service at 7:30 PM at St. Vincent's Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent Church Interior Fund. Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Petaluma.
