Wanda Collins Rhodes

Wanda Collins Rhodes - It is with fond and loving memories of a lifetime of moments past that Wanda"s spirit will endure. Per Wanda"s request, a small private memorial service is planned. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Wanda"s name to Memorial Hospice, 821 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95401 or to your favorite charity. Born January 7, 1928, and raised in Palo Alto. Passed away June 21, 2008 in Santa Rosa with her loving family at her side. Graduated from Palo Alto High School and attended San Jose State University before moving to New York in 1950 where she began, with JP Morgan, a long and successful banking career. She returned to California and continued her career with Bank of California in San Francisco where she met her husband, Caxton Rhodes, Jr. They raised four children while living in California, Idaho, and Florida, returning to California to make their home in Santa Rosa in 1973. Wanda loved her years as wife, homemaker, and community volunteer. She resumed her career in 1977 with the Bank of Sonoma County, and retired as Assistant Vice President, Manager with Westamerica Bank in 1998.
