Warren Pope Cavanaugh

Warren Pope Cavanaugh - Passed away on November 12, 2010 in Santa Rosa. Devoted husband of Elaine Cavanaugh of Santa Rosa. Cherished father of Pat Dillon (Jim) of Seattle, Thomas H. Cavanaugh (Margaret) of Rohnert Park, Jeffrey J. Cavanaugh (Mary) of Petaluma, and Joanne Urban (Jerry) of Rohnert Park. Beloved grandfather of ten and great-grandfather of nine. Loving brother of Cora Mae Colclough. Warren was born, reared and educated in San Francisco. During WWII, he enlisted in the US Navy, dutifully serving his country. He also proudly served his San Francisco community for over 30 years as a firefighter, retiring in 1976. In his younger years, Warren enjoyed playing golf, once shooting a 68 at the Olympic Club. He enjoyed making model boats, but was especially happy when he was fishing. Warren was a happy person who laughed a lot and enjoyed making others laugh with his wonderful sense of humor. Above all, he loved his family; he will be missed. Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Service, Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Hospice, 821 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401. Private Inurnment. Age: 84 years. A Member of: Richmond Rod & Gun Club.
