Wayne Crandall passed away at his home in Sebastopol on October 31, 2015. Devoted husband of Frieda Crandall. Beloved father of Dennis Crandall (Marcia), Charleen Kenney (Mike) and Lester Crandall (Claire). Cherished grandfather of Emily Harrington (Kevin), Stuart Crandall (Kate), Caitlin Crandall (Llano), Laura Clemmens (Blaine), Hayden Crandall (Teresa) and Ethan Crandall. Adored great-grandfather of Conor, Brady, William, Lucy, Olivia and Kalen. Loving son of the late James and Leona Crandall. Caring brother of the late Shirley “Red”, Alvin, Lois and Walter Crandall. Mr. Crandall was born in Portland, Oregon on November 1, 1924 and was reared in Anderson Valley, California. He was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army. He married his wife, Frieda, on June 21, 1948 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mr. Crandall was a truck driver for over 40 years. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, sports, hunting and fishing. He was also a little league coach for many years. The family would like to thank all of his caregivers, and a special thank you to Casey.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 150 St. Joseph Way, Cotati, CA. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma, CA. Entombment to follow the mass at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Petaluma. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Hanna Boy’s Center or to a favorite charity. Visitation
