Willi K. Shenk

Willi K. Shenk - SHENK, WILLI K. - Willi is gone in the peace of God at 88 years old. Born on August 19, 1923 in East Prussia, he was one of seven children. He lived in Santa Rosa. His remaining siblings are his youngest sister Hannelore, his brother Eric with his sister-in-law Sylvie from Paris. After World War II, sponsored by several American doctors, he immigrated to the United States and became a citizen in 1949. He met Betty in 1961 and they were married in 1963. He also left behind his step-son Stanley, two granddaughters; Hanni and Sierra, one grandson; Tyler and two great grandchildren; Kylie and Swen, as well as many nieces and nephews in Europe. He was in Real Estate for many years in San Mateo and San Francisco. He was an avid member of the Lion"s Club in San Mateo and Santa Rosa. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. in the chapel at Santa Rosa Memorial Park (1900 Franklin Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA, 95405). Private interment. A reception will follow services at the Oakmont Golf Club commencing at 3:00 P.M. As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions in Willi"s name to either Heartland Hospice"or- the Downtown Santa Rosa Lion"s Club.
