William Michael "Bill" Demartin

Passed away on July 27, 2016 in Petaluma at the age of 83 years. Devoted husband of the late Irene DeMartin. Cherished father of Jim DeMartin, Matthew DeMartin (Linda), and the late Michael DeMartin. Beloved grandfather of Nicholas, Hayley, and Justin DeMartin. Loving brother of the late Arlene Petersen. Dear brother-in-law of Shirley Ronsheimer (late Ray) and John Petersen. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Bill was a lifelong resident of Petaluma and a descendant of the pioneer DeMartin, Bloom and Schwobeda families. For many years, he worked for Hunt & Behrens Feed as a driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and was an active member of the Swiss Club and Native Sons of the Golden West Nicasio Parlor #183. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Memorial contributions may be made to the DeMartin-Ronsheimer Fund, c/o Petaluma FFA, 201 Fair St., Petaluma, CA 94952 or your favorite charity. Interment: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma.
