William W. Diekmann

William W. "Bill" Diekmann - Bill Diekmann passed away after a lengthy illness on April 22, 2012. Loving brother of Kristin Lawson and her husband Scott of Tomales and the late Mark Diekmann. Doting uncle of Robert Lawson of Santa Rosa. Devoted son of the late Mildred and Walter Diekmann. Survived by numerous cousins. Age: 65 years A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Tomales Presbyterian Church, 11 Church St., Tomales, CA. Burial: Tomales Presbyterian Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tomales High School Booster Club, P.O. Box 435, Tomales, CA 94971 or to the Tomales Regional History Center, P.O. Box 262, Tomales, CA. The Diekmann family has owned and operated Diekmann General Store in Tomales since 1948. When their father passed away in 1972 Bill and his sister took over the business and operated it until 2000 when they sold it. Bill was then able to retire and enjoy his hobbies, though briefly. He was an avid sportsman, and a car enthusiast who enjoyed restoring and â??tinkeringâ?? with his cars to bring out their best performance for participating in autocross events.
