WICKLIFFE, WILLIAM "BILL" LEWIS

Bill is survived and leaves behind his wife, Pat Wickliffe of Santa Rosa, CA, his daughter; Kathryn Sawyer of Santa Rosa, CA, his son; William (Martha) Wickliffe of San Anselmo, CA, as well as his grandchildren; Travis Sawyer of Santa Rosa, Julianne (Justin) Overshiner of Chico, CA, as well as his brother; Donald (June) Wickliffe of Diamond Springs, CA and his sisters; Betty Burns of San Rafael, CA and Shirley (Barry) Khron of Walnut Creek, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents; Luther Howard and Maud Louise (Myers) Wickliffe, his son-in-law; Dave Sawyer and brother-in-law; Bill Burns.
Bill was born and raised in San Francisco where he attended Poly High School. He served in and completed four years of service with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the San Francisco Fire Department for thirty years, retiring as Lieutenant in 1977.
Bill enjoyed bike riding, fishing, hiking, camping and membership with the Druids Lodge. He loved being with his grandchildren, and was looking forward to becoming a great grandfather.
The family would like to acknowledge with sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at Primrose Care Facility for the loving care extended to Bill for the past eighteen months.
As per his request, private family services will be held. Private inurnment; Santa Rosa Memorial Park. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Bill's name are preferred to "Becoming Independent" (1425 Corporate Center Parkway, Santa Rosa, CA, 95407).
