Woodry "Lee" Yates

Woodry "Lee" Yates passed away April 17, 2017 in Petaluma, CA at the age of 81. Lee was born in Texas City, TX to Bessie and Haley Yates. He was the youngest of seven children. In his younger days, he rode in the rodeo traveling all over. He then moved to the San Francisco area where he met his wife Barbara and they married in 1962. They have two children, Ronald and Lori. Ronald (Theresa) have two beautiful children, Amanda and Dustin. The family moved to Petaluma in 1978 where they have a Thoroughbred horse ranch, Summer Wind Farm, and became interested in horse racing. Lee was very knowledgeable regarding horses and loved spending time on the ranch. In his final days his wife, Barbara, was always by his side. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May, 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary and Crematory, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA.
