Zaira Castro, 73, of Petaluma passed away April 2, 2018 at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa. Zaira was born in San Jose, Coast Rica on August 9, 1944. She was survived by her husband Humberto Luis Castro, daughters Jennifer Castro - Rivera with husband Juan Rivera, granddaughters Kayla Harris and Marisol Rivera, daughter Jacqueline Castro and granddaughter Gabriela Castro-Holstead, niece Michele Borowiec-Garcia and family, and adopted grandchildren Rebecca & Jasmine & great grand- daughter Natialia Grace.

Zaira’s love for life was only surpassed by her love for her family, extended family and close friends. She welcomed many into her home and never turned away someone in need. Her loss is deep to those who knew her and loved her. Viewing services will be held at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary and Crematory on Sunday, April 8th, 2018 from 11am – 3:30pm and a funeral liturgy will begin at 3:30pm.
