Caterina Tyrrell

Caterina "Katie" Tyrrell died surrounded by family on April 19, 2023, at age 94 after a very short illness. Born to John and Jemina Robustelli in Montague, CA. Katie attended Black Point School, Cotati Elementary and Petaluma High School. She worked at Poultry Producers in Petaluma, CA where she met Vern Tyrrell who became her beloved husband of 64 years.

Katie was a strong person who stayed active all her life. At age 87, after her husband died, she asked her daughters Patricia and Cindy to help her paint the exterior of her house; and after they finished, her next-door neighbor Vince started calling her "Superwoman." She enjoyed baking and always had homemade cookies ready for visitors. Everyone loved her snickerdoodles.  At age 91, she started going tent-camping with her daughter Patricia. Plus, she was an avid crocheter who made beautiful baby blankets for all of her nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and neighbors.

Katie was preceded in death by her husband Vern and daughter Carol, her siblings Mary Bonomi, Louie Robustelli, Domenico Robustelli, and Marjorie Longest.  She is survived by her daughters Patricia Tyrrell of Napa, Jennifer Aggeler of Kneeland, Cindy Tyrrell of Cotati, her grandchildren Daniel Tyrrell, Elizabeth Anderson, Timothy Gaskell, Rick Aggeler, and Carolann Aggeler; and great-grandchildren Giana Tyrrell, Maceo and Maeve Tyrrell, Gavin and Ander Hawkins, and Richie and Reese Aggeler. She is also survived by her brother John Robustelli of Merrill, Oregon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. and funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory; 850 Keokuk Street in Petaluma. Burial to follow at Cypress Hill Memorial Park; 430 Magnolia Avenue in Petaluma.
