Conrad entered our family at age 15 months and immediately positioned himself by our piano and began composing lovely pieces that progressively became more elaborate as he became older. At age nine he was invited by his piano teacher to perform at her Composition class at Sonoma State University, where he charmed students and professors by performing his creation, a piano piece that he named “All Black”. Throughout his brief life he composed hundreds of tunes and songs. His music genre can be defined as free eclectic, varying from jazz, pop, and even classical. Mostly, Conrad wrote songs of love and introspection. His musical talent has elated his family and won him the love and admiration of many friends.
When he was 14 years old, Conrad spent a summer in Italy and attended a summer camp in Este, where he met many friends. He was often invited to their homes to meet their families and entertain them with his exceptional piano skills.
A creative and artistic mind, Conrad also loved drawing and the visual arts. He was a student at Santa Rosa Junior College and had applied to transfer to Arizona State University where he would major in Graphic Design. A talented graphic artist and video director, Conrad worked for Sequoia Senior Solutions in the Marketing Department where he designed much of the advertising and marketing materials, including a movie ad that is currently playing in the Petaluma movie theaters.
Three days after his passing, Conrad’s family received a mail notification that Conrad had been nominated to the National Society of Leadership and Success by his professors at Santa Rosa Junior College.
Conrad began to ride motorcycles at age 6, practicing and competing in many motocross races, along with his twin brother Martin. To this day he has over 50 trophies in his bedroom. Recently, after several months of saving, he was finally able to purchase his most recent motorcycle. His joyful and passionate life was quickly cut short on July 14, when he collided with a crossing vehicle on Sonoma Mountain Parkway. Conrad was returning home after delivering a printing order to Staples for a handbook he had just finished producing for Sequoia Senior Solutions, his parents’ company.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to all our family and friends who stood by our side with love and support in this time of deepest and indescribable sorrow. Conrad leaves behind his twin brother Martin, older brother Cody, and his parents Stanton Lawson and Gabriella Ambrosi, as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins, both in California and in Italy.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial that will be held in early August. Also, a Scholarship Fund has been established in Conrad Lawson’s name to benefit Music and Creative Art students at Santa Rosa Junior College.
