Josephine Isabel Robfogel

Passed away peacefully at her home in Petaluma on Saturday, February 13th, 2021 at the age of 98, surrounded by her loving family.  Josephine was born February 5, 1923 at The Pioneer Hatchery on Olive Street in Santa Rosa, California to Joseph and Ena King. Josephine graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1941. On October 9th, 1943 she married Charles (Chuck) Robfogel in Santa Rosa, California and they were married 55 years until he passed away in March of 1999. Together they raised 3 children.   She was a loving mother to Carolyn (Jim-deceased) Maestri of Point Reyes Station, DeeDee (Mark) Smith, and Chuck (Patty) Robfogel both of Petaluma.   She was a loving grandma to: Tony (Anne) Maestri, Michelle (Brian) Burkhard, Nick (Jenni) Robfogel, and Chris (Christy) Robfogel. Loving Grandma GG to JT and Jared Maestri, Brody Robfogel, and Olivia Josephine Robfogel. Josephine was preceded in death by her brother Robert King of Santa Rosa, and survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Stacy of Cincinnati, Ohio. Also survived by her best friend from High School Ruth (Petie) Holmoe of La Selva Beach, California.    After raising her family, she volunteered her time working for Petaluma Valley Hospital Auxilary for over 30 years in the gift shop and also for Sacks Hospice Thrift Shop in Petaluma.   She loved spending time with her family, playing bridge with her friends and enjoyed occasional trips to the casino. The family is extremely grateful to Taina Tuinavitilevu and Vani Wara for the wonderful care they provided for our mom.   At her request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran Street, Petaluma California.
