Stella Marie Corda

Passed away on the family ranch where she resided for 75 years, September 12, 2023 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Lester D. Corda. Loving mother of Gene (Trina) Corda, Jerry Corda, Tom (Stephanie) Corda, Judy (Doug) Buttke, Joyce Corda and Suzi Corda. Cherished grandmother of Chris Corda, Janna Corda, Scott Corda, Charisse Frago, Gretajean Lind, Alexandra Grube, Jake Corda, Sarah Stock, Clarette McDonald, Glen Buttke, Nick Buttke and the late Danny Buttke. Devoted great grandmother of Violet, Hannah, Adelaide, Peter, Stella, Miles, Paige, Thomas, Joanne, Danny, Ryan, Nicholas, Lane, Mason and Brody.  She is preceded in death by her siblings, Clorinda Zimmerman, Eda Tomasetti, Paul Bordessa. Dear Godmother of Kathy Bordessa, June Molseed  and the late Pam Nadale. The family also wish to acknowledge Stella’s caregivers, the Martinez and Alcantera families.

A native of Marshall, Ca, Stella was reared and educated In the Tomales area, the daughter of the late Peter and Rosa (Ielmorini) Bordessa. After her marriage to Lester Corda in 1949, they settled on the family dairy in North Marin. Stella was an avid 49er Faithful Fan, card player, golfer and bowler. She was a longtime member of the North Bay Dairy Women and the Native Daughters of the Golden West.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 1 to 4 pm at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary and Crematory, Petaluma.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 1:00 pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Entombment, Calvary Catholic Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date on the Corda Ranch.   The family prefer memorials to the Petaluma FFA (Lester Corda/Danny Buttke Memorial Fund), Attn. Kim Arntz.
